Canon Pixma MX470 Printer Ink
The Canon Pixma MX470 uses a two-cartridge ink system, with one cartridge for black ink and one for color ink. The black ink cartridge is the PG-240, while the color ink cartridge is the CL-241.
The PG-240 black ink cartridge is a standard capacity cartridge that is capable of printing up to 180 pages. There is also a high-capacity version of this cartridge, the PG-240XL, that can print up to 300 pages. The CL-241 color ink cartridge is also a standard capacity cartridge and can print up to 180 pages. There is a high-capacity version of this cartridge, the CL-241XL, that can print up to 400 pages.
While the two-cartridge ink system used by the MX470 is convenient, it can be more expensive in the long run compared to printers that use separate cartridges for each color. This is because if one color runs out, the entire color cartridge must be replaced, even if the other colors are still full.
Fortunately, there are third-party ink cartridges available for the MX470 that can be more cost-effective than the original Canon cartridges. However, it is important to ensure that any third-party cartridges used are compatible with the MX470 and do not damage the printer. It is also worth noting that using non-Canon ink cartridges may void the printer's warranty.
