Canon PIXMA MX870 Printer Ink
The Canon PIXMA MX870 printer uses two types of ink cartridges: a pigment black ink cartridge (PGI) and a dye-based color ink cartridge (CLI) for each color (cyan, magenta, and yellow). There are two ink cartridge sizes available for this printer: standard and high yield.
- Standard ink cartridges (PGI-220 and CLI-221) are ideal for lower printing volumes.
- High yield ink cartridges (PGI-220XL and CLI-221XL) offer a lower cost per page and are better suited for high printing volumes.
You can purchase genuine Canon ink cartridges or compatible ink cartridges from a variety of retailers. When choosing compatible ink cartridges, be sure to purchase cartridges that are specifically designed for the Canon PIXMA MX870 printer. Using incompatible ink cartridges could damage your printer.
