Canon PIXMA MG2900 Printer Ink

The Canon PIXMA MG2900 printer uses two types of ink cartridges:

  • Black ink cartridge: Canon PG-245 or PG-245XL

  • Color ink cartridge: Canon CL-246 or CL-246XL

The PG-245 and CL-246 cartridges are standard-yield cartridges, while the PG-245XL and CL-246XL cartridges are high-yield cartridges. High-yield cartridges hold more ink and can print more pages than standard-yield cartridges.

You can purchase Canon PG-245 and CL-246 ink cartridges from the Canon Store, as well as from a variety of other retailers. You can also find compatible ink cartridges from third-party vendors.

To install an ink cartridge in your Canon PIXMA MG2900 printer, follow these steps:

  1. Open the printer's front cover.
  2. Locate the ink cartridge compartment.
  3. Press the tab on the old ink cartridge and slide it out of the printer.
  4. Slide the new ink cartridge into the correct slot.
  5. Close the ink cartridge compartment and the printer's front cover.

Your printer will automatically recognize the new ink cartridge and calibrate it. You can then start printing.
